Where are they?  And what do you get when you spend over $1 million on a house?

  4. If you like the Estates of Montclaire you have three to choose from.  Prices range from $1,500,000 to $4,999,900.
  5. If land is your heart's desire, you can find a 1 bedroom, 2 bath on 125 acres on Hwy 124 for a mere $1,500,000.
  6. In Beaumont, you'll find a 4 bedroom, 3 full bath, 2 half bath with a 5 car garage in the Oak Trace neighborhood for $1,650,000.
  7. If you really love Lumberton, (photo above) you can buy a stunning 5 bedroom on 13 acres for $1,800,000
  8. And if you want to get away from the city, how about Hemphill?  There's a $1,900,000 estate on 26 acres that just came on the market.

In Southeast Texas where our median home price runs around $140,000 these million plus houses are the extreme luxury in residential living.    Fun to dream!

September was an active month.  214 homes sold.

2103 Sept Sales

It is worth noting that average days on the market was 123 or roughly four months.  If  you want to move by the end of the year the clock is ticking.  We have less than 90 days till we ring in 2014.  (Can you believe it?)

Of course price affects the length of time a home will stay on the market and so does area.  Sellers in Beaumont's W2 neighborhood had one of the shortest average days on the market at 100 days.

What to know how long it takes to sell a house in your Beaumont neighborhood?  Just contact me. I'll be glad to share the data.
