A total of 223 homes closed in the month of July. $158,501 was the average sales price. Of the 223 sales, 58 were priced over $200,000. That's approximately 26%.
Here's a chart you might find helpful.
As we enter the fall, home sales typically cool down. Yes, pun intended. Currently, we have 1,371 homes for sale in the Southeast Texas MLS. That's a 5.6 months supply. Earlier this summer the months supply was hovering around 4 months. Keep in mind the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M says a 6 month supply of homes on the market is considered balanced. The Southeast Texas housing market is pretty close.
